Chapter 3
~The Bell and The Crystal Ball~


Rini woke up to hear the sound of the birds and the light of the sun. She got out of bed and stretched. Aaah! A new day! Hopefully Serena won’t barge into my room and ask 20,000 questions... She thought. Rini walked over to her dresser and brushed her medium-lengthed pink hair and she tied it in a ponytail. It was gonna be hot out today, so she put on a little light pink skirt and a white noodle-strap. She put on her silver crescent moon earrings and was about to leave the room when she noticed something on her desk beside her bed. It was a crystal ball that looked like it was completely sealed. There was also a lot of jewels on it and much detail... she walked over to it and studied it for a minute. Suddenly the crystal ball started to glow and Pegasus appeared right in front of her in it. He looked trapped in it, but thankfully he wasn’t.
   “Pegasus! Your here!” Rini smiled happily.
   “Mhm. I’ll be with you all the time now until the end.” He told her. “Really?! All the time?!” Rini smiled, feeling excited. “Yes.” He answered. “Now, look beside this crystal ball. What do you see?” He asked her. Rini did as he told and she picked up the item.
   “It’s...a bell?” She asked, looking puzzled. “Yes. You must use this bell to summon me when you are in great danger. You must say, “Crystal Twinkle Yell.” Try it!” He exclaimed. “Okay... Crystal Twinkle Yell!” She said. Suddenly, Pegasus disappeared.... Rini gasped and her eyes got watery thinking Pegasus disappeared because of what she just did.
    “Pegasus...?” “Yes?” Asked a voice and Rini quickly turned around to find Pegasus standing there. Rini started to giggle. “Don’t scare me like that!” She told him laughing and so did he. “Don’t worry, I won’t!” He told her sarcastically. Rini smiled, rolled her eyes, and hugged him by his neck.
    “So, that’s how that bell works. Once you call for me, I’ll be there. If you are possibly attacked by an enemy and have no strength to summon me, I’ll be there. I’m always near.” He smiled at her and she smiled back as she caressed his forehead, and Pegasus went back into the Crystal Ball.
    Rini turned off her bedroom light and closed the door behind her. She sat on the steps thinking about what her new  item was. When he said if I was possibly attacked by an enemy... does he mean there are bad kinds of monsters and enemies that I thought were never real? She thought to herself. Hmm... well, I hope things like that don’t happen soon... I’m not ready I’m still working on my Sailor Chibi Moon skills from Serena!
After about 30 minutes of thinking, she started to get bored. So she went downstairs toward the phone and dialed her friend’s phone numbers. A few minutes later, they were at her door. She greeted them and they all played for a couple of hours.
    “Oh hey, I got to go do something really quick. So I’ll be right back!” Rini smiled and went downstairs.
    “Wanna go in her room?” Asked one friend named Molly to the other who was named Elizabeth (aka Mina’s little sister but she’s of course not even in Sailor Moon) “Sure!” Answered Elizabeth and they both went into Rini’s room and checked out her items. Suddenly, Rini heard a crash up stairs. She ran upstairs and quickly opened the door. “What happen-” Her voice was nearly gone to see that the Crystal Ball was broken. “WHAT DID YOU DO?!” Rini yelled. “Uh... we were just looking at it and it tipped over and fell.” Said Molly. “Were awfully sorry!!! Is there anything we can do to help you clean things up?” Asked Elizabeth. Rini was furious now. “NO!” She screamed. She then forced her friends to call their parents and tell them to pick them up right away. A few minutes later, their parents came and took them home.
     Rini ran up to her room as fast as she could and shut the door behind her. She kneeled down by the shattered Crystal Ball. Rini put both of her hands on her face and she cried. She cried for so many minutes till she felt like she couldn’t anymore. Suddenly she felt something on her shoulder. She looked up to see Pegasus resting his head on her shoulder. He looked down on her and he rubbed his cheek on hers to make the tears go away. Rini stood up and hugged Pegasus tightly.
   “I thought you were gone forever...” She said, crying in his mane.
   “Never.... I can never be shattered to pieces.” Pegasus replied.
Rini and Pegasus stood in that hugging position for a long time.
   “I will never leave you. I promise.” Pegasus told her as he wiped the last of her tear’s away with his cheek.
   “I hope not.” She said back as she sighed. “I guess from now on while your here, I shouldn’t have any friends over.” She said. “I think that’s probably a good idea. I’d hate to see you in tears again.” He said back.
   A few minutes later after their little moment, Pegasus had used the magic from his horn to make the Crystal Ball into one again.
   Meanwhile, Rini had gone downstairs to find a snack/lunch for the both of them. She came back upstairs with a couple of peaches in her hands and she fed one to Pegasus. He stared at her for a long time.
She’s so pretty... especially when she smiles. I’m so glad I met the Moon Princess at last! Pegasus thought.

   “Hmmm... looks like our little Pegasus has fallen in love with the Moon Princess... well they won’t be together for long!  Tigers Eye, your mostly the one doing all the work around here. I want you to bring me back the little girl with the pink hair and Pegasus dead or alive!” She ordered. Tigers Eye bowed and walked off.

   “It’s time to say hello to our little Pegasus again!”
