Chapter 1
~A New Friend~


A girl named Rini walked through the park with a baby cat named Diana resting on her head. Rini stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and thought back as to what her mother from the 20th century told her before sending her daughter to Earth.

“While your in the 21st century, the most important thing I want you to accomplish is to make as many friends as possible.”

   Rini thought for a second.

“Hmmm... I should make as many friends as possible, but I think I already have enough at school.”
    
   She thought to herself. Rini shrugged and kept on walking.
   “What’s the matter, Rini?” Diana asked her.
   “ Oh, it’s nothing Diana. No need to worry about me.” Rini smiled.

    It was now Midnight and Rini woke up. She heard something strange and uncommon in the woods...she got out of bed, not bothering to change her clothes. So she walked out the door quietly making sure she didn’t wake up her sister (and her future mother) Serena, who was actually a crybaby most of the time in Rini’s opinion... (Back to reality)

   Rini walked out the door with her pajamas on. She walked toward the entrance of the woods and went along the dirt path. She heard that strange noise again as she came closer to it. It was like the sound of huge, feathery wings flapping rapidly.
   She finally reached the spot she was locating.
   Rini’s eyes widened as she stared at a pure white Pegasus with a blue mane and tail and he had a golden horn. Rini came closer to it, attracted by the pegasus’ beauty. As she got closer to him, she started crawling, holding out her hand. Once she was satisfied on how close she was, she sat there, still with her hand out to the Pegasus. The Pegasus wasn’t sure if he could trust her, so he took one step back. He then felt a strange sensation coming from this girl. It was the feelings of love, trust, and anxiousness.

   Suddenly, a bright glowing light past Rini’s body and her outfit changed to a beautiful white dress. Her Princess form was revealed to him. The Pegasus stared at the beautiful princess and looked into her eyes which were full of compassion and once again, anxiousness to touch his forehead at least. He took one step forward and walked slowely to her. Before he knew it, his forehead was touched by the gentle hands of the moon princess, and she smiled at him as he smiled back at her.

   Serena was nearly off her bed, drooling... Diana ran into her room and walked toward Serena’s ear. She yelled in her ear saying, “SERENA WAKE UP!!! C’MON WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!!!!” Diana screamed. Serena woke up, and she fell off her bed with a huge BANG and she rubbed her head and moaned in pain. “WHAT?!” She asked annoyed considering she had such a nice dream. “Rini is gone, Serena! She isn’t even in the house! We have to find her!” Diana explained. “Shoot Rini! Ugh when I get her back, she’s in deeeep trouble!” Serena shouted with her fist in the air then her and Diana walked out the door in the cold.

   Not to far away from Rini’s house, Pegasus and her were laying on a hill, looking at the stars and watched as shooting stars crossed the dark blue sky. Millions of stars were out and the moon was full. Pegasus looked down at Rini as she layed on his 4-arm and curled up in a little ball. He noticed she was cold and shivering, so he curled up with her and rested his head on her shoulder. Rini was warm now, and she closed her eyes and fell right to sleep. Pegasus watched her sleep, and he smiled, looking at the beautiful princess in deep sleep.

***Rini’s Dream***

   Rini looked up and she noticed she was on the deck of her kingdom. She looked and saw her mother, Queen Serenity.

   “My little Princess, you have just made friends with the Pegasus of moonlight! From now on, he will be your guide and your compainion until the time is right for him to come back.  Do you understand?” She asked.
   “ How do you know when it’s time for him to come back?” Rini asked, looking up at her mother.
   “When he is free from the curse put on him.” She answered as she started to fade away and within seconds, she had completely disappeared.

Rini woke up, not in Pegasus anymore. She was now in her bed. She sat up and she saw a little note on her blanket. She opened it and it read:

Dearest Rini,

I watched you sleep. You looked so pretty with your smile on your face. I didn’t want to disturb your sleep, so I took you back. I understand your sister, Serena, was looking for you.
She’s still gone looking for you, but expect her to come back soon. If your wondering how I know all of this, I can see through the future. I have that kind of power.

Anyway, tomorrow night, I want you to meet me on the hill where we were. I need to talk to you about something important, so I hope you come.

  “Shoot!!! She was looking for me?! Darn it! Man, I’m so busted when she gets back...” Rini complained as she put her pillow over her head and sighed.
   Rini thought for a second as she laid there.

”Hey... if he is a Pegasus, how can he write a note?!”  Rini wondered. “Ugh, well, I better not dwell on that now. I wonder what he wants to talk to me about?”  She told herself. Suddenly, she heard someone open the door. “Uh oh, it’s Serena I know it!” She whispered. Rini put the covers over her and closed her eyes, pretending to sleep. Serena came up to the top floor. She opened the Rini’s bedroom door to see if maybe she was in bed already. She was. Serena sighed in relief to see her in her bed as if nothing happened and she closed the door.

Rini sighed and went in a deep sleep. She knew she was probably in trouble, but she smiled at the thought of what she saw. Tomorrow was a new day, and she couldn’t wait to see Pegasus again.
