Hayao Miyazaki was a legend. And still continues to. A living, movie-making, legend. He made many animated movies such as Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononke, and Castle in the Sky. But the one that he favored most was one of his masterpieces, Spirited Away. It attracted the attention of millions of people of all age groups around the world. His characters from this film immediately became favorites to these viewers. These characters included Chihiro, and Haku.

Chihiro and Haku became one of the most magical childhood romance couples. Miyazaki, the genius behind this beautiful film, admitted sheepishly but with a sense of pride, that he was a fan of child romance, and included these romances in all of his films to attract all older age groups as well. Each little romance became the DNA of his movies. Chihiro and Haku became the ultimate.

Everyone in the room cheered. It's finished. After long years of hard work and effort into pursuing the goal to make one of the greatest animated films created in Japan, it was finished. Miyazaki, it's director, took all the time it needed to take to congratulate and thank every individual of his filming crew. And when he was finished, the party continued, but he decided to take a walk and breathe a breath of fresh air under the cherry blossom trees nearby. He smiled fondly at the trees, shoving his hands into his pockets. He inhaled and exhaled deeply, enjoying the scent and sight of nature everywhere he went, and closed his eyes in pure contentment.

That was, after he heard a small cough behind him. He could tell it wasn't a real cough, though. Someone, a female, was trying to get his attention.

So he did. He gave the person his full attention, but he was in shock to see it was not another fan asking for an autograph.

They were two young children. The female looked no older than ten, while the male beside her, holding her hand, looked to be twelve. Both were exactly how he dreamed them to be. The girl had a white, green-striped shirt with pink shorts and bright yellow shoes, her hair brought up in a simple ponytail. The boy wore sandals and a white and blue Japanese robe, and a purple tie tied securely around his waist, his hair was cut perfectly to his shoulders and his green eyes sparkled.

Both of these children smiled at him, a pink bouquet in their hands.

"Congratulations, sir." Chihiro said with delight.

Miyazaki could feel joyful tears coming. All three stood there silently for a moment before taking off to a run and holding each other close in a big group, bear hug.

"How is this possible?" He asked, mainly to himself as he clutched onto the two grinning kids.

"Magic, father, magic." Haku simply whispered back to him.

Then it struck Miyazaki. Father. He was their father. He created them with just a pencil and his imagination, but here they were. He was their father, their creator; they were his children…

"Of course," He replied simply. "Magic." He nuzzled his cheeks further with theirs, followed by another joyous laugh, as well as them. He couldn't bring himself to stop laughing. His characters had come to life, beautiful and strong, as he created them to be. They were his family. That's the fact that he cherished most. That one, simple little fact that continued to pop up in his mind brought him a joy he had never felt before.

They were his family.
Yay. I love this one. It's really short, but I love it.
